Year

A story about the life of Perica Jerković, a Slovenian stand-up comedian of Bosnian descent, who decided to record one year of life and the world around him (April 2010 – April 2011). It is a unique film experiment which has not been seen in Slovenian cinematography yet.

The documentary intertwines a subjective view of the rapidly developing Slovenian stand-up scene with the details of the author's private life. It is a personal testimony and witnesses to the contact of the Slovenian stand-up current with the mainstream entertainment, the beginning of the ex-yu stand-up scene, the excursion of the Croatian-Slovenian expedition of comedians to English stand-up clubs, cycling adventures in Romania, etc. It outlines friendships and friction between comedians, successes, and defeats, highlighting what is normally obscured to spectators.
